Program description
Between mid-May and August each year, the Nuquí area and its surrounding beaches experience the best surf conditions in Colombia. This area has been hailed as a new surfing paradise and is a must for anyone looking to discover high-quality waves in South America. Thanks to its geographical location, excellent conditions for advanced surfers can be found here during these months. Additionally, nestled between the majestic Chocó jungle and the Pacific Ocean, the beaches remain practically untouched and uncrowded. You will have incredible surf spots all to yourself. This area is home to the famous surf spot, Pico de Loro, which is undoubtedly the best in Colombia.
The warm water, enchanting sunsets, idyllic surroundings and exquisite gastronomy will make your stay unforgettable. This programme is complemented by activities that allow you to enjoy the splendour of nature before or after each surf session.

Itinerary Details
Day 1
Flight Medellín - Nuquí (ap. 45 min), boat transfer (ap. 60 min), hotel check-in We welcome you at Medellin airport. The journey to paradise is ready to start. After a 45 minutes flight and 60 minutes boat transfer, you will reach the wonderfully located Lodge, surrounded by dense green forest and enchanting beaches.
Day 2
Surf guiding (Surf spot: Pico de Loro). Breakfast and surf guiding. Early in the morning with equipment and food on board, we will start our boat trip to Cabo Corrientes, home of the famous surf spot "Pico de Loro". We will spend some hours there enjoying the best Colombian waves.
Day 3
Optional: Surf guiding (Surf spot: Pico de Loro) and jungle hike. After breakfast we will start our second boat trip to Cabo Corrientes. Once again we will enjoy the best waves at "Pico de Loro surf spot" in front of a stunning jungle. In the afternoon we will start a jungle tour. Your guide knows exactly the path and will lead you there. Time to relax. Later you can continue enjoying the beach or book another activities. Note: The activities on day 3 are not included in the plan. You can book the second boat trip once there and according to waves conditions.
Day 4
Departure: Adiós Nuquí!. It's time to say goodbye today. Transfer to the airport and flight to Medellín. End of the program.

Accommodation
Termales beach - the hotel area - is 60 min. by boat, a little apart in the middle of the jungle. We offer the following accommodations:

Recommendations
Sun protection, constant hydration, bring some cash (there are no ATMs or banks in the area), and repellent.
Surf Guiding
The program includes 1 x surf guiding session and 1 x surf boat trips to the surf spot "Pico de Loro". incl. surf guide and equipment. Surf Equipment is available any time durimg your stay.
Requirements
Only for adults (18 years old), children only in company with their parents, no chronic disease and good swimming skills.
Vaccination
We advise to get the yellow fever vaccine. This must be applied at least 10 days before the trip.
Meals
All meals are included in the program. If you required special food (vegetarian, vegan) or suffer from allergies, please inform us before starting the tour.
Nearby places and activities of interest
The next town is Termales, an Afro-Colombian community. From here you can start many activities: Utria National Park tour, mangroves canoe tours, birdwatching, frogwatching, hot springs tours, indigenous community tours, hikes through the jungle, surfing, snorkeling or diving, kayaking and fishing.
National flights Medellín - Nuquí - Medellín
This flight is not included in the program. Charter flights to and from Nuquí are usually very early and only once a day. 10 kg luggage and 5 kg hand luggage per person are allowed. Satena airlines offer flights every week.
Communication
The cell phone signal is weak. We recommend telling your family that you will be absent during the days of the tour.
