Program description
Looking for a unique holiday where you can connect with nature and learn how to surf? This surf camp in Colombia, located near the breathtaking Tayrona National Park, is the perfect place to start your surfing journey. Surrounded by stunning tropical scenery, this is one of the top surf destinations in Colombia for beginners and nature lovers alike.
Whether you've never touched a surfboard before or simply want to improve your skills, our 4-day surf course is tailored to beginners with no prior experience. You’ll start by learning the basics on land and in calm, shallow waters. Using high-volume beginner surfboards, you'll practice paddling, balance, and the proper techniques to stand up on your board. As your confidence grows, we'll gradually move into the ocean so you can experience the power and rhythm of the waves. With personalized guidance and professional instruction, our team will help you catch your first waves in Colombia safely and with confidence.
In addition to surf lessons, our program includes valuable insights into ocean safety, tides, and local wave conditions. You'll also have the chance to enjoy cultural excursions and nature-based activities around the area, making this more than just a surf trip — it's an immersive surf and travel experience in Colombia.

Itinerary Details
Day 1
Arrival in Santa Marta, transfer to Tayrona (40 min), hotel Check-in and tour briefing. Arrival in Santa Marta airport or bus station. Drive to the Tayrona sector and check in at the Hostel. We will show you the amazing surroundings and give you the best tipps for your stay. Tour briefing and organisation for the next days.
Day 2
Surf lessons, sunny days and beach. Optional: SUP Paddle Tour or River Tubing Tour. Breakfast and first surf session. We know very good the beaches in the area and we will take you to the most appropriate break. In the afternoon we will start an exciting river tubing (floating on inflated innertubes) through one of the beautiful rivers that descend from the Sierra Nevada.
Day 3
Surf lessons, sunny days and beach, Natural Swimming Pool tour. Breakfast and third surf session. In the afternoon we will start a tour to "Pozas de Mendihuaca" natural swimming pool to enjoy nature in all its splendor. A sacred place for the local indigenous communities.
Day 4
Last surf session and return trip. Breakfast and third surf session. Early we will drive to the beach to enjoy our last waves. Check-out and transfer back to Santa Marta.

Accommodation
The accommodation for this program will take place in a Finca-Hostel located just three kilometers from the main entrance of the majestic Tayrona park, very famous for its exotic beaches. The landscape and nature of the area are incredible. For this plan you can choose between shared dorms or private bungalows, both beachfront. On request we can book private accomodation.
Recommendations
Sun protection, constant hydration, bring some cash (there are no ATMs or banks in the area), and repellent.
Surf lessons
The program includes 3 x 2h surf lessons and daily transportation to the beginners surfspots.
Requirements
Only for adults (18 years old), children only in company with their parents, no chronic disease and good swimming skills.
Transfers from / to Santa Marta
We can coordinate a fast transportation service for the first and last day respectively.
Meals
3 x breakfast with fruits and a bottle of water are included in the program. Let us know your preferences and we will delight you every morning. Lunch and dinner are offered in the restaurant on site. You can choose among a wide variety of Colombian dishes. If you have special dietary requirements, please communicate this when making the reservation.
